“If nothing ever changed there would be no butterflies”

– Author Unknown

The butterfly serves as a beautiful analogy for transition, growth and process of change. First, as a caterpillar it stops eating to prepare for something new. Spinning a cocoon, it establishes a safe place to transition. By doing this, the caterpillar places itself in a vulnerable position: knowing risk is essential for growth. Over time, the caterpillar develops wings, gains strength, and emerges as a butterfly, taking flight.
