Catherine (Cathie) Kent MSW, RSW

Throughout her professional career, Cathie has developed an enhanced skill set; highlighted by her ability to create a safe and respectful space to foster open and honest communication, promote personal growth, create change and achieve conflict resolution.

Cathie’s qualification include:

  • Masters of Social Work, University of Calgary
  • Mediation of Family and Divorce Conflict Certificate, Legal Education Society of Alberta (LESA)
  • Conflict Resolution Certificate, Mount Royal University
  • Registered with the Alberta College of Social Workers and member of the Private Practice Roster
  • Registered with the Alberta Family and Mediation Society

Cathie appreciates conflict and change are natural aspects of life that can leave us feeling anxious, unsettled, confused, hurt, frustrated, stuck, and overwhelmed; however, when managed effectively they can be productive and empowering. As a Mediator and Therapist, Cathie’s practice is driven by the power and potential of effective communication, emotional regulation, self-esteem, coping, assertiveness, boundaries, problem-solving and resolving conflict. When working with Cathie, she will lead challenging conversations, facilitate change and manage interpersonal dynamics proficiently. As a seasoned professional with more than thirteen years of experience, she has a proven ability to guide individuals, couples, families and groups to a greater sense of fulfillment through refining their interpersonal skills. Cathie’s practice has been characterized as engaging, compassionate and efficient.

 

Paul Kent MSW, RCSW

Personal growth can be a challenging and demanding aspect of life; it can also be very rewarding and liberating.” (Paul Kent, 2013)

Paul has an unyielding passion for wellness; mentally, emotionally, physically, sexually and spiritually. When working with Paul, you can expect to have access to a safe and supportive environment to freely share, develop and hone practical skills for day-to-day living. With over fifteen years of clinical experience, Paul offers guidance and support needed to create change. As a Clinical Social Worker, he has experience working with individuals, couples, families and groups.

Paul’s professional history includes providing direct-care, leadership and teaching. As a therapist his skills have been recognized by the University of Calgary in the roles of Sessional Instructor and Faculty Liaison. Through leadership roles, Paul has experience in Change Management, Program Development and Evaluation. In the community, Paul has been sought to provide education and support to numerous organizations including; Calgary Board of Education, Alberta Justice, and Metis Association of Alberta.
